Helping Families Get Ahead

I grew up in a hardworking blue-collar family where education, hard work, and giving back were core values. Today, as a small business owner, educator, and mother of two, I know families are working harder than ever just to keep up. My priorities are simple: lower costs, strengthen healthcare and education, and create more opportunities so Rio Rancho families can build successful lives right here at home.

Strengthening Healthcare

Healthcare is personal to me. My family has experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating our healthcare system. As more families care for aging parents and loved ones, we must improve access to healthcare close to home while supporting the healthcare workforce our communities depend on.

  • Recruit and retain more doctors, nurses, therapists, and behavioral health providers.

  • Expand access to affordable healthcare and lower prescription drug costs.

  • Increase behavioral health and addiction treatment services.

  • Improve access to specialty and long-term care so families don't have to leave New Mexico.

  • Protect reproductive freedom and women's healthcare.


Preparing Every Student for Success

Education has been the foundation of my career. From earning my doctorate at UNM to mentoring students and working in higher education, I've spent my life helping others reach their potential. Every child deserves a great education, and every graduate should have a pathway to college, a career, or the skilled trades.

  • Continue investing in public schools and early childhood education.

  • Recruit and retain outstanding teachers.

  • Expand career and technical education, apprenticeships, dual-credit, and skilled trades programs.

  • Increase school-based mental health and wraparound services.

  • Strengthen partnerships between schools, higher education, and local employers so students can build careers right here in Rio Rancho.

Growing Opportunity in Rio Rancho

Rio Rancho is one of New Mexico's fastest-growing communities. Now we need to make sure opportunity grows just as fast. Through my work in higher education, community development, and with the Credit Union Association of New Mexico, I've helped build partnerships that expand economic opportunity. I want to bring that same approach to the Legislature.

  • Help small businesses grow and create good-paying jobs.

  • Expand apprenticeships, workforce training, and careers in the skilled trades.

  • Support entrepreneurship and local businesses.

  • Attract industries that create long-term careers in technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and engineering.

  • Increase affordable housing and expand opportunities for homeownership so more families can put down roots in Rio Rancho.

Safe Communities

Families deserve safe neighborhoods and communities where children can thrive. We need a balanced approach that supports law enforcement while investing in prevention, behavioral healthcare, and opportunities for young people.

  • Recruit and retain law enforcement officers.

  • Expand behavioral health and addiction treatment.

  • Strengthen court resources and victim services.

  • Invest in youth intervention and diversion programs that prevent crime before it starts.


Leadership That Listens

Service has always been central to my life. Whether through education, community partnerships, or my small business, my focus has always been helping people succeed. Now I'm ready to bring that experience to public service.

The greatest gift of this campaign has been meeting neighbors across House District 57. Their stories have reinforced what I've always believed: good leadership starts with listening. I will always show up, work hard, and bring people together to solve problems because that's how we build stronger families, stronger communities, and a brighter future for Rio Rancho.
